Amherst is located approximately half-way between Stevens Point and Waupaca. From southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois, take I 90/94 to Portage, Wisconsin, then take I 39 North. Turn at the Plover exit. This will be County Trunk B. Follow B about 10 miles until it becomes Wilson Street in the Village of Amherst. Continue on B/Wilson Street to the stop sign (Main street). Turn right on Main Street and proceed two blocks to the Amherst Inn at the corner of Main & Lincoln streets.
